So, what does it take to be an elf at Boxwood Lane, Roanoke, Virginia’s only year-round Christmas Store?

Well, for starters, you should have some retail sales experience. We need people who know how to interact with customers and make sales. But more importantly, we're looking for customer-driven and task-focused people. You'll be helping customers find the perfect Christmas ornament for their tree or that special gift to delight a favorite niece or nephew, so you must be able to multitask and stay on top of your game.

But most importantly, you should have a love for Christmas. We're talking about real love. The kind of love that makes you want to sing Christmas carols in July and start decorating your house in October. (Or September) We want people who are passionate about the holiday season and can share that passion with our customers.

Now, we know what you're thinking. "Do I need experience in Elf Culture? Do I have to dress like an elf?" Well, no. While experience in Elf Culture is certainly a plus, it's not a requirement. And as for dressing like an elf, it's optional, but it certainly wouldn't hurt your chances of getting the job. Plus, who wouldn't want to dress up as an elf?
